As we go through our daily routines it can be a challenge to live the life we really want to live as we are continuously exposed to so many negative influences. The best answer that I could come up with is to inject positive, Christian influences into my life. These blogs help quite a bit as does listening to my favorite Christian music radio station (featuring music by Brandon Heath, Toby Mac, and lots more). All of these things help me in my daily walk and I thought I would share some of the blogs that inspire me with you.
- Harvest Daily Devotional: Greg Laurie puts together a daily devotional that will get you thinking for sure. His site is also full of resources and tools that can help you get a really solid daily devotional workout.
- Devotion to Christ: If you are looking for daily scripture passages and would like them to be random and chosen for you, then this is a great blog for you to bookmark. You get great scriptures and a good interpretation and fans of the KJV of the Bible will really like this blog.
- Christian Blog: Christian poems, Bible verse lessons, Christian Testimonies and more help to provide some good insights into the Bible and your Christian faith walk. I like the author’s interpretations of the various scriptures posted on the blog.
- One Year Bible: God’s word is living and active in this blog! As you can imagine, you get daily Bible verses on this blog as well as help toward reading the Bible in one year. The scriptures they provide are commented well so you can really incorporate them easily into a daily devotional.
- Michael Harrison’s e-devotion: I have to tell you that this is one of my favorite blogs to read as it is updated frequently and shows us how Michael applies scriptures to various things that happen in his life. He has some great insights that so many of us can relate to. Thank you Michael for sharing with the rest of us!
- Mere Devotion: A great looking blog that starts off with a good impression and just keeps getting better as you read the articles. The blog delves into scriptures at a fairly deep level providing a real meaningful devotion time. There is a lot of good reading here, but the blog hasn’t been updated in 2010 so let’s pray that the author will have time to give us more.
- St. John’s Lutheran Church Blog: Wow! I really wish more churches would put together a devotion blog like this one, what a great idea! The articles merge scriptures and life together for an interesting and helpful read. You can even see how to deal with your favorite NFL/sports team losing in the playoffs from this blog (sorely needed by me).
- Deeper Devotion: Elizabeth de Smaele from the Netherlands put together this inspirational guide for a faith that transforms. She recently revamped her site and it looks great plus does offer several opportunities for spiritual refreshment. She also offers courses and workshops to help people grow in their christian faith.
- Daily Devotion Website: Well, they have a forum and this isn’t a blog but it is REALLY helpful. They have a calendar with morning and evening devotions on it which I find very useful and interesting. This is a great place to get some ideas and to make sure you get your devotions in every day. No more excuses.
- Christian Parenting Devotion: No-Nonsense resources for Christian parenting, a fun blog, and daily Bible verses to give you yet another alternative. This one is especially great if you are looking to share your devotion time with your family.

- Christian Persecution Blog: Sometimes we forget how fortunate we are to live in a nation that embraces Christianity (most of the time). This blog has a lot of entries related to the persecution of Christians around the World.
- Daily Bible Verse Guide: Ministry of Grace Church provides this resource to people wanting to delve deeper into the Bible. They provide insights on the truth trying to be taught with each scripture, the meaning behind the significant words, and then an overall explanation of each passage.
- Christian Blog: Great bible search utility, daily Bible verses in all versions of the Bible (KJV, NIV, etc.). I really like being able to read each of the different versions of the daily Bible verse. There are also some really great commentaries on this blog.
- The Daily Bible Verse: If all you are looking for is a daily Bible verse with a brief amount of commentary with no muss or fuss, then this may be the blog for you to checkout.
