Top 20 Child Abuse and Support Blogs

childApproximately 5.8 million reports of child abuse are made every year.  It seems odd that we don’t hear about more of them on the news.  I know it’s to protect the child involved and I agree with that, but it also sends a false message in regards to the magnitude of the problem.  We generally only hear about the truly horrific cases that usually result in the death of an innocent life.  As a Christian I feel it is important to raise this issue to try and provide help for those that are struggling with a domestic violence problem.  I want to encourage people to get involved and help the children and families that are in these situations.  Whether you are currently in an abusive situation or if you experienced child abuse growing up, this list of blogs will both let you know that you are not alone as well as provide some helpful insights on how others have dealt with this problem.  These are the 20 best blogs we could find on child abuse:

Child-abuse-effects.com Darlene Barriere is a violence and abuse prevention educator and has created this blog to post articles that are relevant to child abuse.  She has experience child abuse first hand and has a vested interest in helping others either prevent child abuse or help those people that have experienced it cope.
