Approximately 5.8 million reports of child abuse are made every year. It seems odd that we don’t hear about more of them on the news. I know it’s to protect the child involved and I agree with that, but it also sends a false message in regards to the magnitude of the problem. We generally only hear about the truly horrific cases that usually result in the death of an innocent life. As a Christian I feel it is important to raise this issue to try and provide help for those that are struggling with a domestic violence problem. I want to encourage people to get involved and help the children and families that are in these situations.
